Solving Food Waste Problem

Solving Food Waste Problem

Group managing food waste bins in an indoor facility, including a person in a wheelchair

Each year, over 35 million tons of food waste end up in landfills. One local high school alone was discarding around 125 pounds daily. We’ve partnered with their special needs program to collect this waste and process it using a dehydration machine that runs on a 10-hour cycle. The result is a nutrient-rich material, which we refine and enhance to create our signature eco-friendly fertilizers.

Creating Job Skills

Solving Food Waste Problem

Woman working with food waste recycling and applying job skilss

With an unemployment rate of 60% among individuals with disabilities, we've made it our mission to change that. Through food waste recycling, indoor vegetable growing, and year-round fertilizer packaging, we've provided hands-on job training for over a dozen people—yes, even growing pea shoots in the middle of winter! Our vision is to expand these opportunities to support even more individuals in meaningful, skill-building work.

We put our fertilizer to work by growing fresh, healthy vegetables for local school lunch programs. Every bag sold helps create more jobs, recycle more food waste, and grow a stronger, more sustainable community.
